If you’re planning winter engagement photos, here are tips to consider for your session:

Tips for Winter Engagement Photos from Colorado Engagement Photographer

  1. Build time for breaks! As your Denver engagement photographer, I always bring hot chocolate! Bring blankets, plan on car breaks, pack hand warmers, and speak up anytime you’re cold! Taking breaks is a great way to ensure you feel confident and safe.
  2. Pick an easily accessible spot! Do you want to ski to a summit or stroll a paved trail? There is no wrong answer. Talk with your Colorado engagement photographer about any visions and ideas!
  3. Check the weather! Don’t let a surprise blizzard ruin your day. Talk to your photographer about what “too cold” means to you, and check road conditions to avoid any hiccups.
  4. Dress with layers! Colorado weather changes quickly. Wear layers – jackets, scarves, gloves – that you can easily add or remove to stay warm. I can help you pick out the perfect engagement outfit! As we plan your session, I’ll share outfit ideas.

Bonus Tip: Consider crowds. Colorado engagement photo locations can be crowded. Plan your session for first thing in the morning or closer to the end of the day for busier locations. Work closely with your Colorado engagement photographer in picking the best location spots.
